Time to Think Foundation Programme

2 days £595 max. 12 participants

If you want to improve how you interact with groups, then look no further than developing your expertise in the Thinking Environment.

You will explore the Ten Components of a Thinking Environment. Adopting any one of these components will improve your group interactions.

You will also discover how the eight group applications provide an invaluable tool kit with which to engage with groups of varying sizes.

In particular you will encounter Thinking Pairs, Dialogue, Rounds, Open Discussion, Meetings, Time to Think Council and Facilitation which will broaden your repertoire and help you to turn groups and your organisation as a whole into a Thinking Environment.

As an added benefit you will observe a Thinking Partnership demonstration. This will provide you with a first-hand experience of how invaluable this application is at engaging and inspiring the wisdom within. Leaders, Coaches and Managers will be amazed at how their people can have significant breakthroughs with very little verbal input from them. The experience is transformative and if developed organisation-wide you will reap the benefits of co-creating Thinking Environment cultures.

Complimentary CPD sessions

To support your continuous professional development you will be entitled to 2 relevant complimentary CPD sessions, which need to be taken within 12 months of completing the Foundation Programme.

Thinking Partnership Course

2 +1 days £850 max. 6 participants

The Thinking Partnership Course teaches you the Thinking Partnership Session®, a uniquely powerful process for liberating the human mind.

You will participate both as Thinker (selecting topics of your choice) and as Thinking Partner. The emphasis of our 3 days together is on developing the experience. As the group size will be small you will have plenty of opportunity to get to grips with all elements of the course. Small group sizes are not only intimate, they provide a safe way to explore and learn from each other.

You will explore and experience all Ten Components of a Thinking Environment and in the process, you will transform how you listen. You will feel heard and you will be amazed at how providing generative attention will change the thinker’s ability to think. You will notice how verbally you do so little, but you do so much more by providing a Thinking Environment.

You will also build incisive questions, this process produces breakthrough, independent thinking and enables your Thinking Partner to go on thinking well, beyond your session.

We will also see the significance of the promise not to interrupt and I promise that you will not be disappointed.

Complimentary CPD sessions

To support your continuous professional development you will be entitled to 2 relevant complimentary CPD sessions, which need to be taken within 12 months of completing the Thinking Partnership Programme.

I have really enjoyed working with Tricia to explore what a Thinking Environment is, and how to use Thinking Partnerships. It has made me re-think how I approach my coaching practice, as it moves away from a more ‘traditional’ model to a model where time is given to think, without interruptions and without professing to be the ‘expert’ coach. I’m looking forward to continuing my Thinking Environment journey!

This is the first time that I’ve experienced ‘Thinking’ meetings in any way shape or form, and I found it a truly invigorating environment. Time to think can be used in so many versatile ways, whether it’s a safe space for a colleague to expand on their thoughts, a creative way to run a meeting or a thought provoking group discussion.

Time to Think Mentoring Programme

2 days + £595 max. 8 participants ONE-TO-ONE / MENTOR & MENTEE ALSO AVAILABLE
Do you want your mentoring relationships to truly develop the mentee?

If so, the role of the mentor has to go beyond the offering of advice and the ‘opening of doors’.

The Mentor has to know how to generate superb, independent thinking from the mentee; in turn these skills can also be taught to the Mentee.

The Mentor learns how to offer any guidance by using the language of experience and knowledge, rather than by the language of advice.

You will also explore how to take some of these skills more widely into your organisation.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Mentoring in a Thinking Environment training that Tricia facilitated. From the very beginning Tricia role-modelled what good mentoring looks like in the way she led the training, and created the kind of thinking environment that is at the heart of this approach to mentoring. As a result we were immediately practising some of the core disciplines, and by the end of the training it all felt very natural. I love this. “Time to Think” is so respectful of the person being mentored – treating them like an adult peer and trusting them to find the answers for themselves. It also creates a sense of ease that enables people to think deeply and well – so important (and rare) in today’s frenetic world. Tricia enriched the learning we were doing by sharing experiences that helped us see how the approaches could be adapted to suit different contexts. Highly recommended!

Thinking Ensemble

90 MINS FREE max. 12 participants

A Thinking Ensemble is a group of individuals who wish to explore their own thinking and to stay drivingly interested in the thinking of others.

How often do we give ourselves permission to free up the space and time to think about what’s important in our lives and in our work? To consider what do I really think and what are my thoughts and, in the process, generate our own breakthroughs.

By joining this course, you will experience thinking for yourself, without interruption. You will become a Thinking Environment.

Anyone who wants to learn more about being a Thinking Environment and is willing to learn by being and experiencing can join this course.

There will be a different topic bi-monthly and the free spaces are limited. Please register your interest below if you would like to attend:

Diversity Programme

2  day £595 max.  8 participants
The Time To Think Working with Difference Programme takes diversity to an new level. Surpassing the value of most other programmes, we define Diversity in a Thinking Environment as the diversity of group identity and diversity of ideas. When we don’t value each other’s identity differences we don’t value our divergent thinking.

The Diversity Process is deceptively simple in structure, but it is powerful. It reaches into the dark corners of both societal prejudice and the internalised personal version of it, as such, it can stir feelings. However, with the skill of building Incisive Questions and the Thinking Environment, in general, you can process well the limiting assumptions that surface and create a very different life without them.

The course is taught in a Thinking Environment; requiring respect, personal integrity and rigorous confidentiality
